Episode 2 of “Secrets of the Night” is devoted to humans and deals with the day-night rhythm that determines us and many living things. However, the triumphal march of light changed our relationship to night, just like our cities, the economy and our life itself. Studies have shown that someone who sleeps only 5-6 hours for weeks is as powerful as having a blood alcohol level of 1.0 per mill. So it makes sense that at some point we will get tired. And sleep: how does it work and why can’t we exist without it?
